System
This is a system in which certain research themes are consigned by private companies, whereby research and education staff of NINS will implement research using funds provided by the consigner, and the result is then reported to the consigner.

Flow of procedure
The head of the private company should apply to the head of Institutions using the Commissioned Research Application Form for commissioned research. After the application, a Notification of Acceptance is delivered to the consigner, and both parties shall enter the commissioned research contract.
The consigner is requested to pay research expenses according to invoice documents issued by NINS.
The consigner is notified of the results of the research after the commissioned research is completed.

Handling of research results
All inventions derived as a result of commissioned researches shall be accredited to NINS.
All or parts of the patent accredited to NINS may be transferred to the consigner.
