沿革

  NAOJ NIFS NIBB NIPS IMS
1888 The Tokyo Astronomical Observatory was established in the Faculty of Science, The University of Tokyo.        
1924 Facilities relocated from Azabu Iikura to Mitaka.        
1975         IMS was established.
1977     NIBB was established.  
    The National Center for Biological Sciences was established. NIPS was established.  
1981     The Okazaki National Research Institutes was established.
1988 NAOJ was established.        
1989   NIFS was established.      
1997   NIFS was relocated from Nagoya to Toki.      
1998   NIFS started to perform LHD experiments.      
2000     The Okazaki Research Facilities (Okazaki Institute for Integrative Bioscience, Research Center for Computational Science, Center for Experimental Animals, Center for Radioisotope Facilities) were established.
2004 NINS was established.
2009 The Center for Novel Science Initiatives (CNSI) was established.
2013 The Research Enhancement Promotion Headquarters and Research Enhancement Strategy Office were established.
