The Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities

NINS has two purposes. "Promoting the cutting-edge research of natural science through International joint-use and joint -research" and "Supporting research capabilities of universities and other research institutes through the international collaborative research and the most advanced research environment" In order to achieve these goals, we aim to support research at universities and other research institutes and to further strengthen the field of natural science of Japan.

Four components for enhancing of research capabilities

[1] Support for promoting the international cutting-edge research

NINS dispatches URAs to overseas to exchange information in close cooperation with universities and research institutes of abroad, in order to promote international joint research and exchanges with researchers and graduate students of overseas.

[2] Support for Promoting of Collaborative Research in Japan

NINS aims to enhance the research systems of Japan by promoting joint use and joint research in the field of natural sciences. For this reason, NINS activates not only nurtures young human resources and searching for joint research seeds, but also strengthen information exchange and partnership between industry and academia for the purpose of developing research equipment and software. NINS conducts research and development using advanced facilities and equipment, and supports to disseminate equipments and techniques for future advanced research.

[3] Strengthen public relations to disseminate information domestically and overseas

NINS strengthens international public relations activities by focusing on communication in English, and return the significance and results of joint-use and joint-research to society. As an international research institute for collaborative research, NINS accepts excellent young researchers and graduate students from overseas while exploring the seeds of international joint research.

[4] Support researchers (young, female, from overseas)

At the same time as promoting fostering of young researchers as an institution that is a research institution as an educational institution that is responsible for the Graduate University for Advanced Studies studies and promoting the employment of female researchers, research and life support of female researchers and childbirth duration We will improve our research environment by enriching our research support system.
NINS also promotes the acceptance of researchers from overseas through international public relations, and offers international joint research activities and support for daily life in order to secure excellent young researchers and graduate students overseas.
