National Institutes of Natural Sciences awards the " National Institutes of Natural Sciences Young Researcher Award" for excellent young researchers who have worked diligently to create new natural science fields. In conjunction with the 7th awards ceremony, we will hold a lecture by five winners. It is a general lecture which you can enjoy from high school students to adults, introducing state-of-the-art research in various fields.

I will talk about the forefront of nuclear fusion plasma research that is expected as a future energy source to realize by confining ultra-high temperature plasma which is hotter than the sun, in an easy-to-understand manner.

"Dynamic movement of cells active in shaping animals" Prof. Suzuki (Assistant Professor National Institute for Basic Biology)

When I was small, I saw a TV program featuring the human body, I learned that human beings are composed of complicated and sophisticated mechanisms, Professor Suzuki who was shocked. I am attracted by the beauty of the embryo which is the figure of the life of the newborn observation in the practical training at the university, and will advance to the path of the embryology research. As ordinary we learn in textbooks, cells, the organs in the body are known to originate from one sheet at the early stage of the embryo. In this lecture, Professor Suzuki will introduce these interesting research topics through research on the process of the brain of Xenopus' brain.

When I was a junior high school student, Professor Koike thought that I wanted to become a technician, not a researcher. In the process of learning machine learning, the teacher's research will shift to the philosophical theme of communication, which is the foundation of human society. Among them, how does "Mitsumetai" acting as the foundation of communication occurring very early in the developmental stage of humans connect two people to see each other? I will introduce the research of "Mitsumetei" which reveals the neural basis by using Fmri which can record brain activities from two who are communicating at the same time.

"Catalyst design to learn from plants: Iron 5-nuclear complex that generates oxygen from water", Prof. Kondo (Assistant Professor Institute for Molecular Science)

Professor Kondo is conducting research on the energy and environmental problems that we face, with the theme of "Can solve with the power of molecules?" Therefore, we are studying to understand the mechanism of photosynthesis in nature, and to design artificial molecules that exceed the photosynthesis of plants. What kind of properties does artificial molecule designed by Mr. Kondo have? I will introduce the front lines of research.
