Collaboration paper published in Annual Reviews of Biomedical Engineering (July 13, 2021)

A review paper, which was the result of a two-year collaboration between Assistant Professor Jared E. Toettcher (Dept. Mol. Biol., Princeton U.) and Professor Kazuhiro Aoki (ExCELLS, NIBB), titled "Signaling, Deconstructed: Using Optogenetics to Dissect and Direct Information Flow in Biological Systems" was published in Annual Reviews of Biomedical Engineering. In this review, we summarize how optogenetics is being used to study cell signaling, increasing our understanding of and improve our ability to engineer biology.
