Center for Low-temperature Plasma Sciences, Nagoya University

名古屋大学低温プラズマ科学研究センターLow-temperature plasma sciences that are the most important sciences and technologies responsible for the lifeline of manufacturing, and are expected to be innovative in a wide range of other fields such as the medical, agriculture, fishery, and the environment. Center for Low-temperature Plasma Sciences "cLPS" deepens Low-temperature plasma sciences, which holds the key to future industries and global environment, and explores the unknown possibilities by merging each field to create new value. The purpose is to contribute to the sustainable development for human beings. Toward that targets, we pursue variety of researches in the world's leading "Plasma Science Platform", which consolidates and organizes internal resources, joint use and joint research on low-temperature plasma with researchers belonging to industries, universities and other research institutes in Japan and abroad. By breaking the boundaries of various interdisciplinary areas, we will advance the innovative researches as well as the development of challenging and original "plasma science".

Center of Plasma Nano-interface Engineering (CPNE), Kyushu University

九州大学プラズマナノ界面工学センターIf the interaction of plasma and nano-interface is clarified and it is possible control, it brings explosive development to the creation of advanced nano material and nano structure that was not able to be achieved so far. In this center, systematized study on base and application on interaction of plasma and nano-interface is promoted, and international center research center is established. A joint research and interactive, international education with domestic and foreign industry-academic-government including university and research laboratories overseas in Germany and South Korea, etc are promoted. We play a part of worldwide research education base making about Kyushu University by promoting it to talent who accepts an excellent domestic and foreign student and pulls the world, and supply it to industrial-academic-government in the world.

Tohoku UniversityGraduate School of Engineering Non-equilibrium Plasma Interdisciplinary Research Center

東北大学大学院工学研究科非平衡プラズマ学際研究センターNon-Equilibrium Plasma Interdisciplinary Research Center aims to realize environmental symbiosis, low power consumption, medical welfare, food safety, and future society through academic fusion research based on non-equilibrium plasma, which is expanding new academic fields. "plasma Medical Sciences Department sector", "plasma Agri Science Department sector", "plasma Frontier Science Department sector" "plasma Materials Science Department four of Gate" Department established a gate, by non-equilibrium plasma, 1. innovative cellular response control We are developing plasma equipment and constructing various measurement systems with the aim of technological development, 2. innovative agricultural technology development, 3. next-generation propulsion machine development, and 4. innovative nanomaterial creation.

Gifu Pharmaceutical University

岐阜薬科大学Gifu Pharmaceutical University will participate in the Plasma Bio Consortium from 2022. At Gifu Pharmaceutical University, we Department to apply low-temperature plasma to medical applications. We are working on basic research to ensure the efficacy and safety of atmospheric pressure plasma irradiation solution with antitumor activity from the viewpoint. In the future, while further developing these researches, we will develop new synthesis methods that apply plasma irradiation to organic synthesis methods, and create new pharmaceuticals using them. We will strongly promote drug discovery research.

Center for Novel Science Initiatives (CNSI), National Institutes of Natural Sciences

自然科学研究機構The National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS) is an inter-university research institute corporation, consisting of five research institutes: the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, the National Institute for Fusion Science, the National Institute for Basic Biology, the National Institute for Physiological Sciences, and the Institute for Molecular Science. NINS, taking advantage of the characteristics and strength of the constituting institutes, actively promotes academic research activities as an inter-university research institute. NINS is expected not only to advance cutting-edge research on essential topics, but also to play a central role to organize the research core for future academic research areas. To accomplish the role, we opened the Center for Novel Science Initiative (CNSI) in April 2009. In the Center for Novel Science Initiatives (CNSI) of the National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS), we launched the Department of Plasma Bio Science in April 2018. Furthermore, to promote collaborative interdisciplinary research of basic plasma bioscience, we started the Plasma Bio Consortium with the Plasma Medicine Innovation Center and the Plasma Nano Engineering Center at Nagoya University, and the Plasma Nano-Interface Engineering Center at Kyushu University. Using the framework of the consortium, collaboration research projects are being actively conducted.
