Plasmabio Consortium

The Plasma Bio Consortium was launched in 2018 by the National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Nagoya University, and Kyushu University, with Tohoku University in 2020 and Gifu Pharmaceutical University in 2022. Nagoya University, Kyushu University, and Tohoku University each have centers aimed at the application of plasma technology, and with the addition of Gifu Pharmaceutical University, various applied research is being conducted in animal, plant, and pharmaceutical sciences.

We aim to develop the Department of Plasmabio Science by supporting the academic aspects of the applied research conducted by the four universities with basic research by the National Institutes of Natural Sciences. In addition, we will promote joint research with universities and research institutes inside and outside the consortium, aiming to further develop the application of plasma technology with an "all-Japan system."
